Create a musical monument to New Orleans ~ Vote

The Pepsi Refresh Project is giving away an extra $1.3 Million to fund great ideas to help the Gulf communities! Vote for this idea to create a CD of new songs based on Dan Baum's book "Nine Lives: Mystery, Magic, Death, and Life in New Orlean" employing New Orleans musicians.

Seeking funds to produce a cast album as a stepping stone to a Broadway musical. The album will be a celebration and preservation of New Orleans’ uniquely vibrant (and perennially endangered) musical and cultural heritages.

Goals:

• To produce a CD of new songs based on Dan Baum's book, NINE LIVES.
• To employ over a dozen of New Orleans' finest musicians and singers
• To celebrate the resiliency of America's most unique and iconic city.
• To bring nationwide attention to N.O's cultural and musical heritage.
